I'm Anna Howarth, the paper flower artist behind Florrie's Paper Flora.
I studied fine art, fashion and silversmithing at art school before graduating with a degree in English literature and enjoying a career as a writer.
When I came across the stunningly realistic paper flowers being made by talented artists across the world, I was captivated. I set about learning how to craft flowers from paper, experimenting with materials and techniques to capture the beautiful forms, gestures and colours of flowers.
I cut, shape, assemble and colour each petal and leaf entirely by hand, meaning every piece is unique. I use high-quality, FSC-certified crepe papers and professional artist-grade paints, inks and pastels.
Paper flowers stay beautiful indefinitely, making them lasting reminders of a special person, time or celebration. I've made bespoke paper flowers for gifts, weddings and one-of-a-kind pieces for clients’ homes. My work has also been featured in art gallery exhibitions.
